Warby Parker Co-Founder to Speak at This Fall’s Big Kansas City

Tickets are now on sale for Big Kansas City, the annual entrepreneurship conference for founders, designers, developers and investors. This year’s program will feature the co-CEO of eyewear startup Warby Parker.

Big Kansas City will kick off with a public party at 8 p.m. Oct. 8 at Missouri Bank, 1044 Main.

Tickets are required to attend the formal conference on Oct. 9 and 10 at Hangar 9 at Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport, 300 N.W. Richards Road. Tickets cost $499 until 11 a.m. July 17 and $599 until 11 a.m. Sept. 19.

A closing party at 8 p.m. on Oct. 10 at Hangar 9 will be open to the public.

The top-billed speaker at Big Kansas City is Neil Blumenthal, co-founder and CEO of Warby Parker, a designer eyewear company that donates a pair of glasses to a person in need for every pair it sells.

Other scheduled speakers include: Kimberly Bryant, founder and executive director of Black Girls Code, which helps young women of color succeed in the tech marketplace; John Wirtz, co-founder and CPO of Hudl, a software company that assists athletes and coaches in examining and sharing videos; and Soraya Darabi and Maxine Bedat, co-founders of Zady, a lifestyle destination for fashion-conscious consumers.
