Sphere3 Reports Surge in Subscription Numbers

Sphere3 saw a 60 percent increase last year in the number of subscriptions to its Aperum software solution, the company announced.

Aperum helps hospitals keep track of several different performance indicators, including nurses’ workloads, patients’ risks for falling, response times and other key metrics. By providing easy-to-understand data, Aperum shows hospital leaders where resources are needed in their facilities. It provides “situational awareness” for an entire hospital.

“We work closely with our clients to establish new methods of leading a clinical unit, using data that has never been readily available until now,” said Courtney Govro, CEO of the Kansas City, Kan., company.

“Sphere3’s Nurse Engagement Analytics and the Patient Experience Medical Record are just the beginning. We look forward to continuing to push the envelope—doing things that have never been done or thought of and proving that they are impactful and meaningful to enable better care for patients.”

Sphere3 was founded in 2009. Govro, who previously worked at All Systems Designed Solutions, was inspired to create the company after she became frustrated with the level of care a family member received at a hospital. Govro realized the problem lay more with systems instead of people. Sphere3 began as a consulting firm, but realized it could help more people if it could offer a software solution.
