Pipeline Takes Applications for Its 2015 Class of Entrepreneurs

Applications are being now accepted for the 2015 Pipeline Entrepreneurial Fellowship, which will mentor growth-stage entrepreneurs in a yearlong business leadership development program in Kansas City.

The application deadline is Oct. 20. First round interviews will be Nov. 12 and 13. Final round interviews will be Dec. 3 and 4.

Following the selection process, 10 to 13 new entrepreneurs will be invited to become Pipeline Fellows. They will participate in entrepreneurial workshops, receive advice from a national network of business experts and cultivate relationships among new and current Pipeline Members.

“Every year I am absolutely inspired by the quality and diversity of entrepreneurs we see during the application process,” Pipeline President & CEO Joni Cobb said in a release. “The region is boasting tremendous talent, our members continue to grow and begin again—and our partners are emphatic about our role in the ecosystem. It’s a great time to apply to become a part of this dynamic, growing family.”

Established in Kansas in 2006, Pipeline is an influential group of entrepreneurial leaders committed to creating high-growth companies. Pipeline’s 80 members employ more than 1,000 people in Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska, and they have raised more than $107 million in external capital since joining the organization.

“Pipeline is so unique,” said Pipeline member Toby Rush, CEO of EyeVerify in Kansas City. “And it truly is a fellowship, because you become connected with other successful entrepreneurs on so many levels—both personally and professionally. I can honestly say that Pipeline has not only made me a better entrepreneur, but a better person.”

Applying to Pipeline was “the best decision I made next to starting my own company,” said Pipeline member Paul Jarrett, CEO of Bulu Box in Lincoln, Neb. “It takes a village to raise a startup. And without Pipeline as part of our village, I don’t know where we’d be.”

Kevin McGinnis, vice president of Pinsight Media Plus, a division of Sprint and executive lead for the Sprint Accelerator in Kansas City, added: “Pipeline takes good companies and turns them into potentially great companies through the mentorship these people get. Simply put, this is where the Midwest’s entrepreneurs are getting it done.”
