Accounting Firm MarksNelson Makes 10 New Hires

Accounting firm MarksNelson is pushing forward with another round of hiring for its accounting services, assurance and tax departments, adding 10 people to its staff.

Accounting Services

Kelly Cisper and Cassidy Jump are joining the accounting services department as staff accountants, while Crista Frederick and Melody Sellers will be senior staff accountants. Sellers will focus on the firm’s cloud accounting clients.

Assurance

John Riffel, a former MarksNelson intern and recent UMKC graduate, has been hired as a staff accountant in the firm’s assurance services department. Lisa Alden is coming on board as a senior staff accountant after four years working for private industry and a Big Four accounting firm. Harmonie Geha will be a supervisor in the department; she previously worked at the firm for five years and is coming back after two years in private industry.

Tax

MarksNelson is putting three new people to work in its tax department. Callom Jones and Joseph Melton will be senior tax staff members. Heather Shearer, a recent graduate of UMKC, is a new staff accountant for the department. Jones and Shearer will specialize in compliance and planning services. Melton will work in compliance, research and planning.
