Kandy Meehan of Home Rental Services Wins Lifetime Award

Kandy Meehan, founder and president of 25 Under 25® alumnus Home Rental Services, has received the 2014 Stevie Silver Award for Lifetime Achievement in Business.

Meehan received the lifetime achievement honor for her 25 years of leadership, innovation and achievement at 11th Annual Stevie Awards celebration last week in New York. Meehan also received 2014 Stevie Bronze Awards for Company of the Year—Consumer Services and Female Entrepreneur of the Year—Consumer Services in the small business category.

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor exceptional women entrepreneurs, woman executives and women-owned businesses around the world. Recipients are selected by judges from the international business community based on submissions.

Meehan founded Home Rental Services in 1989.

Today, Meehan’s full-service residential property management, listing and leasing firm offers solutions for two specific types of clients. Home Rental Services helps homeowners who want to rent out rather their sell their home find the best renter and keep up the property. The firm also works with individuals and families wanting to lease a residential property.

In serving both home owners and renters, Home Rental Services represents and manages hundreds of properties throughout the Kansas City area on both sides of the state line. The company’s specialty is rental homes in Johnson County.

Although Home Rental Services does not sell homes or manage commercial or multifamily properties, it is the largest enterprise of its kind in Kansas and in the Kansas City metropolitan area.
