Extra Time to Apply for ScaleUP! Kansas City

Good news for those who are late to the party: ScaleUP! Kansas City is giving local business owners extra time to apply for its next class of companies.

The new deadline is April 24. You can submit your application at this website. Twelve to 15 businesses will be selected for the free five-month program.

ScaleUP! Kansas City is an entrepreneur development program from the UMKC Innovation Center and the U.S. Small Business Administration. Local business owners receive a range of training and coaching, including FastTrac GrowthVenture and FastTrac Listening to Your Business courses. There are peer-to-peer round tables and “collision sessions” where participants meet people who could help them scale up their companies.

The goal is to help entrepreneurs

Applicants should own businesses that are at least 2 years old and that generate annual revenues of $150,000 to $750,000. They need to be in a market that could potentially support $1 million in annual sales.
