COMMWORLD Sells to Longtime Employee

COMMWORLD of Kansas City is being sold to vice president and longtime employee Curt Wiens.

The company was founded 33 years ago as Communications World of Kansas City. Wiens started working with COMMWORLD just a few months later as a contractor. He’s succeeding owners Bob and Linda Bennett, who are starting a new venture, CHANGES at LightSpeed.

“Curt has been an integral part of the success of the company because he started with us at the age of 19 nearly 33 years ago,” Bob Bennett said. “It was the right thing to do to have him become our successor. Linda and I have really been blessed to have him as well as our other dedicated employees. We wish Curt, his wife Cindi, his family and employees the absolute greatest success for 2015 and beyond.”

COMMWORLD is an alumnus of the 25 Under 25® Awards, and has won a series of other awards for its business performance.

While the ownership is changing, COMMWORLD everything else will be “business as usual,” with no changes to personnel, location or product offerings. The company offers a wide array of telecommunication solutions, including phone systems, VoIP, Internet service, voice mail and more.

“I want to thank Bob and Linda for their hard work and dedication to making COMMWORLD of Kansas City the great company it is for our clients as well as our employees,” Wiens said. “I want to wish them the best on their next adventure.”
