CNBC’s ‘The Profit’ to Feature The Lano Company

Set your DVR now: The Lano Company is going to be featured on next week’s episode of CNBC’s reality TV show “The Profit.”

The Lano Company, which was founded by Miranda Coggins, sells a line of lanolin-based cosmetics under the Pure and Glam brands. Coggins made the very first batches of her products in her kitchen, but the company has gone to become a full-fledged cosmetics business. (Thinking Bigger Business wrote about the business in July 2012—you can read that story here—and The Lano Company is a past winner of the 25 Under 25® Award.)

On each episode of “The Profit,” serial entrepreneur Marcus Lemonis takes a close look at a company that’s facing some big challenges and offers to invest his own money in the business. In return, Lemonis receives a piece of the company and the ability to make critical changes in how it’s run.

Lemonis is the chairman and CEO of Camping World, a seller of RVs and related gear, and Good Sam Enterprises. He has put more than $20 million of his own funds into various businesses featured on “The Profit,” which is now in its third season.

The Lano Company’s episode is slated to air at 9 p.m. July 7.
