This week a surprise luncheon for Norman Johnson was attended by more than 500 people to celebrate his 60 years of employment with Bear & Bear Associates, owner of Cloverleaf Office Park in Overland Park.

Johnson was hired by Bear & Bear Associates founder Jack Bear to help him build and manage the 10 structure, 400,000-square-foot office complex located on the southeast corner of Shawnee Mission Parkway and Metcalf Avenue. Since Bear’s death in 2001, Johnson has continued to provide his expert knowledge to the company.

In addition to the luncheon in Johnson’s honor, an oak tree was dedicated in his name in Founders Park on the grounds of the recently renovated Cloverleaf Office Park.
