Round table will feature local business owners.
Young entrepreneurs possess a reservoir of fresh ideas and seemingly limitless energy—but they don’t always know where to go for startup financing or guidance.
That’s why the Small Business Administration is hosting a Young Entrepreneur Summit on March 29 in Kansas City. Organizers want to introduce SBA programs to entrepreneurs age 18 to 35 and get feedback from them.
The event will run from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Kauffman Foundation, 4801 Rockhill Road, Kansas City, Mo. There will be no charge for admission, and the general public is welcome.
Rachel Hack, the community manager for the Google Fiber project, will deliver a keynote address, which will be followed by a round table with several young entrepreneurs.
Panelists will include Dana Ward, owner of Great Day Moving Co.; Stephanie Issacson, president, New Horizons, LLC; Chantell Garrett, president of R.U.B.I.E.S Inc.; and Jason Teeman, owner of Innovation Café. Seth Meinzen, the owner of Evisthrive, will serve as the moderator.
Attendees will be invited to ask questions and voice any concerns they have about starting businesses.
