Nominations due Feb. 3 for Greater Kansas City Chamber’s Ace Awards.
The Feb. 3 deadline is swiftly approaching for the 2012 Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce Ace Awards, which celebrate diversity in the workplace.
The award recognizes mid- to senior-level managers who have made a significant impact on their organization’s success and who are culturally diverse. C-level executives can nominate people for the award, but cannot receive it themselves.
Nominations can be made at the Chamber’s website. The awards will be presented by the Chamber’s Diversity Business Connection and LinkKC.
The winners will be recognized during a breakfast event April 10 at the Downtown Marriott.
Dr. Andrea Hendricks, UMB’s senior vice president of diversity and inclusion, will moderate a panel discussion, “Preparing a Culturally Diverse Workforce.” Panelists will include Chancellor Leo Morton Sr. of the University of Missouri-Kansas City; Dr. Bernadette Gray-Little, chancellor of the University of Kansas; and Dr. Doris Givens, president of Kansas City Kansas Community College.
