The 7 Hidden Reasons Employees Disengage...and Sometimes Leave

Surveys of managers reveal that almost nine out of 10 managers believe employees leave for “pull” reasons, such as “more pay” or “better opportunity.”  Yet, when employees are asked what first caused them to think about leaving in the first place, almost 90 percent of them point to “push” factors related to poor management practices or undesirable working conditions. This gaping disconnect between belief and reality keeps organizations from addressing the problems of employee disengagement and turnover with on-target solutions.

This special EGS presentation by Leigh Branham, author of The 7 Hidden Reasons Employees Leave, provided attendees with a deeper understanding of why conventional exit interviewing doesn’t work,  what the research reveals as the seven root causes of employee disengagement and turnover, and what business owners and managers can do to keep the root causes from taking hold in the first place.
